Pros

* Good place to start a career as they now offer larger salaries than in the past for young college grads. * Tuition assistance isn't bad, but you have to stay with Raytheon for another two years or pay it all back. * A few hybrid / remote working opportunities, but those are mostly for people who don't need a security clearance. * College campus environment at the main plant site. * Lots of opportunities for low level salaried positions up to P3 / E3

Cons

* Passive aggressive leaders * Ageism * Office cliques towards those who aren't "real engineers." * The Dunning-Kruger effect is very prevalent * Very few career opportunities past the P4 / E4 level * Benefits (health, 401k, and vacation) have gotten a lot worse and more expensive. * High turnover of personnel after they become fully vested in their 401k. * Annual raises are very poor and that causes some people to quit if they were a high performer. * Coworkers and management do not respect work/life boundaries, and continue to send emails and phone calls to you even when you make it known you aren't in the office. * DOD security clearance is required for nearly 90% of the salaried jobs. * A lot of experienced employees have left the company due learning that some entry level employees were being paid as much as they were. The new 401k company is Alight and they don’t seem to know how to do their jobs.
