Pros
Reading Partners allows you to see the more administrative side of non-profit work while still being able to directly interact with the students. This role is a volunteer coordinator mixed with a tutor mixed with a program manager. Great leadership and they treat you with respect!
Cons
As an AmeriCorps member you are not compensated a live-able wage. The work can be isolating because you are basically running the site on your own (with assistance from your coworkers and manager)
