Pros

Decent benefits package, excellent pension and a good stepping stone in the FMCG world. Challenging and lots of opportunity for relocation around the globe for those who are interested. Strong brands and a good addition to a cv.

Cons

The culture, I've never worked for such an aggressive company who (as the title suggest) is full of career types stabbing whoever in the back to better their own career prospects - the sloping shoulder of blame is endless. High and mighty attitude to some entire departments who believe demanding, escalating & kicking and screaming is the way to make it through each day. Very little effort dedicated to route cause analysis of issues and resolutions and a lot dedicated to covering bottoms and pushing the problem along the supply chain. Sales (as with a lot of companies) seem to be incapable of saying n.....saying......n...o.....saying no as they agree to deliver the earth at half the price and then celebrate in style leaving the little man on the shop floor working all weekend to process the order, ensure the stock is actually available and deliver it. Communication is non-existent and why should they care, they got the sale afterall, bonus sorted! Departmental targets mis-aligned, causing conflict of interest and impacting each others bonus, again more conflict, seems a common theme, makes you wonder if it's planned this way to keep you on your toes and pay minimum bonus. One more thing I must mention, work / life split, if you want to get on in RB you have to opt out of a life, if your willing to work long hours and as the contract says "work additional hours as and when required" then you'll be fine, if not you'll receive negative feedback....oh, and if you do, don't expect flexibility back on that time.

Pros

Feel that the pay is above market standard for similar roles.

Cons

Intense, cold, cut throat. Feel like when you speak with any employee they’re burnt out, Managment beyond demanding. High profile brands, don’t align with low end culture.
