Business outlook
Pros
Recology, especially in San Francisco, is doing more for the environment than most companies. The company is very diverse. Employee ownership stock is a bonus.
Cons
That being said, most employees don't even know how to sort waste correctly and most don't even care about the Waste Zero mission that is on the shirts they wear. There is plenty of toxic management, managing through fear, putting out fires rather than strategic management. The company is not investing in technology to make the daily business practices more efficient and improve customer experience.
