Pros

Nice office aesthetic, occasional fruit bowl

Cons

CEO is an “NLP practitioner” which later turns out is just her opportunity to exploit her staff by digging into their personal lives and then gossiping to other members of the team about what has been discussed in the “breakthrough” session. Don’t ever take her up on this “opportunity” it’s a trap

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are disappointed to read this description, as it does not reflect the culture or values we work hard to maintain within the business. The coaching sessions mentioned were introduced as an entirely optional opportunity for personal and professional development for team members who wished to participate. They were never mandatory, and confidentiality was always expected and respected. We take the wellbeing and privacy of our staff very seriously and would not tolerate the sharing of personal information discussed in confidence. If any employee ever felt uncomfortable with any aspect of these sessions, we would always encourage them to raise this directly with management so that it could be addressed appropriately at the time. As with any organisation, individual experiences can differ, but we remain committed to creating a supportive and respectful working environment for our team. We wish you every success in your future career.

Pros

Location - close to Harrogate town

Cons

On the surface it can come across as a really great place to work however this is a huge facade. Poorly managed office, in fact it isn’t managed. Issues or concerns are not dealt correctly if at all. Complaints and concerns are disregarded/discussed unprofessionally resulting in you being made to feel like you’re wrong. Female CEO would rather see figures on the white bored than keep her staff happy. She is very much a smiling knife. Owners are greedy. Zero investment/development for staff Little to no training for staff which results in out of date methods thus resulting minimal billings. “Follow the process” which is out of date. Weekly one to one meetings consist of female CEO discussing other members of staffs personal lives. Do not trust her. She enjoys pitting staff against each other. Gossiping and then watching staff fall out. The office is her controlled playground. It is a terribly strange management technique. You could be the best biller in the world and it would still not be enough for the owners. Excessive amounts of pressure for zero reward. The office is generally a negative environment as it is gossip ridden and staff are not appreciated despite what the boss says. Employees would do well to remember it’s all talk. Actions speak louder than words.

I am really sorry you had a negative experience at Recruit4vets, in the short time you were employed at Recruit4vets we tried everything possible to accommodate your needs but I guess we didn't succeed. We are a small team of less than 20 employees and our number one priority is to create an enjoyable, supportive working environment for everyone, in the majority of cases we have succeeded because the average length of service is currently 6 years but clearly in your case we got it wrong. As a sales environment your sales figures are important and we do place a high emphasis on everyone achieving targets but all sales targets are based on historic averages and are therefore achievable and our commission rates are also amongst the best in the industry. With regards to weekly one to ones, their sole purpose is to provide support, advice and help so that you can succeed in your job, they are certainly not as you describe and I must dispute your comments. At Recruit4vets we invest heavily in technology and support, we have probably the best CRM on the market, access to LinkedIn recruiter, employ a team of admin support and resourcers, all to give the recruiter the best opportunity to succeed. We are very process driven, following proven methods which we know work, but we also encourage new ideas through consultation and are constantly adapting and improving work practices. Again we are very sorry things didn't work out at Recruit4vets and we wish you every success in your new career.
