Camaraderie & teamwork is so important and we pride ourselves on our professional and dedicated workforce. In relation to your point on morning work, there is indeed the need for some roles to have shifts that start early in the day, as our services operate 24/7 and we commit to provide a lifeline service to/from the island. Pros

4 on 4 off shift pattern. Good annual leave and other benefits such as 75% of SWR trains and free travel to the IOW. People were great to work with.

Cons

Zero appreciation for staff which is why everyone good leaves. Not the best pay for what we have to put up with. Senior managements lack of involvement with the operations, they don’t have the faintest idea of how anything works. Very poor career progression opportunities and often internal vacancies are given to people based on who they like rather than who is actually competent.

While we are pleased to hear that you were able to work with some great people and enjoyed some of our employee benefits, we are disheartened to hear that you felt that you were unappreciated. We appreciate each and every colleague, and feel that we offer a fair remuneration package. We work with recognised trade unions on our annual pay reviews and indeed feel that our salaries remain competitive. We are delighted to have recently welcomed a new Operations Director to our Senior Leadership team, Neil, who is keen to be involved in all operational areas of the business, and we look forward to the positive impact he will bring. All vacancies are subject to an application and interview process, and each interview is marked according to a competency framework, with the successful candidate being chosen based on their score and suitability, ensuring best practice is followed.
