Pros

The people. I have met some truly amazing people, from all sorts of backgrounds some of them with already developed skill-set others with great potential to do so in any case truly amazing people that get you going through the day. I made friends and shared moments in the company that I truly hold dear. Benefits. Salary is not too bad for Barcelona standards but let's not kid ourselves you are not getting your salt's worth. Gym membership and fruits and coffee are nice benefits. Other promised benefits never materialized. Culture. Used to be great which enabled you to come to work with some sort of purpose and joy, unfortunately, that train has left the station permanently.

Cons

I mean, where should I really even start? I will try to write things by order of importance: CEO. It's time to go. Honestly, not everyone is cut out to do everything. I strongly believe that this company is becoming more and more toxic because of what is coming from above. Leadership is not there as we would hold company events that we would be told we need to perform 120% or whatever but never actually given a roadmap on how are we gonna do it, what are the important milestones etc. We had people on the top who truly made the difference in the company fired in a truly ruthless and backstabbing way. Best of all? We were told how much we are a tribe, a family, a team and in the middle of the whole Coronavirus thing got a company meeting where we were told the company is solid we can survive this etc. 2 weeks later? 15 people gone with no real excuse just because they had to chop some heads. I could probably write a whole book about this but not here and now. I'm just saying if the company is to survive she must step down. General situation. People are promised things that will not be delivered by the side of the company. The bonuses are practically gone because the already unrealistic targets have now even more restrictions and machinations in place to make sure that you will not get a penny for anything. If you ever read a management book in your life you must know that the "cheese" must be close enough so that the "rat" can smell it otherwise the wheels won't turn. Also, I'd you apply the carrot and the stick approach you can't just give the stick all the time. There is no transparency or trust from the upper echelons to the people working there and that is a true shame because I have never personal seen a pack of wolves that are led by sheep pretending to be lions. And I'm talking about the top "leadership" (2-3 people) not the managers just to be clear. There have been all sorts of decisions that don't make any business sense leading to the walls closing in more and more and whoever is left working there is stressed out of their minds because they don't know if they will have a job or not and because they somehow have to deliver expectations based on wishful thinking. There is the spiral of silence going on among other things in the company that makes it a very toxic and taxing place to work. Also, there were Glassdoor reviews that were deleted in an effort to make the company look better. Maybe this one will be too. When I was let go it was announced to me without any prior warning and indication and that is disrespectful, to say the least. What bothered me the most was that after the announcement my accounts were immediately suspended like I was some sort of criminal and I didn't have a chance to even write a goodbye mail to my dear friends and colleagues let alone deliver to my manager a report on what was done and needed doing. It's truly sad to see where this company has/is going.
