Pros

Get experience in a lot of different areas, not pigeon holed as other companies.

Cons

Toxic Enviroment among senior staff, your concerns are never listened to, constantly under resourced, it’s not just a little over time if you want to get anywhere it’s a lot of hours a week and no extra pay, wages are below industry standard and director has an attitude of your lucky to be here, you will get a lot of experience here but will never be thanked for it, senior management discourage anyone younger rising in ranks, no work/life balance. No maternity, or package benefits a one for all at Christmas is your bonus

Pros

Some friendly colleagues in the London Office.

Cons

Senior Management needs to do better at communication. I had been working at Reddy for 7 weeks. I was settling in well and was looking forward to a long future with the company. I expected positive feedback at a review meeting, but I was fired for not meeting their performance standards. In both the meeting and the confirmation letter I got from HR, the reasons given were very vague and no specific evidence of poor performance on my part was presented. During my 7 weeks at the firm, I did my job - I kept the kitchen clean and tidy, I delivered the milk every morning, I put the dishwasher on/off, loaded/unloaded contents, I actioned and promptly resolved the issue of the ladies toilet which was not flushing properly and the loss of hot water. I attended meetings and took accurate Minutes. For the company's office relocation later this year, I undertook a detailed inventory of items, and I offered recycling ideas. I was also in the process of writing up an Office Procedures Manual. I worked closely with one of the Senior Architects (not involved in my dismissal) on CPD presentations, and he was most impressed that I had booked up CPD sessions for the remainder of this year.

Pros

You get exposure to a lot of learning opportunities. (But you are always left along to figure things out yourself albeit of you previous experience) Constructive feedback ( only after things goes south) You will learn to work fast and efficiently under pressure ( because of the regular tight deadlines) Only apply for this office if you have previous experience with the delivery side of project. You are expected to be comfortable dealing with manufacturers, coordination with consultants, dealing with specifications and engineers reports. Otherwise, you will have a really hard time and no one is there to give you pointers.

Cons

Management team can be agressive ( it’s part of the culture so that includes everyone) It’s not good for your physical and mental health if you stay too long. No bonus and most long term employees have trouble getting pay rise. They definitely will get agressive with you and try to blame you which ever way possible if they want to find an excuse to let you go.
