Pros

Remote and they pay a decent salary.

Cons

Redpoint Cybersecurity is a smoke-and-mirrors operation that misleads clients and employees alike. While they claim to provide Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, the truth is they have completely outsourced MDR to another “Well Known” MDR firm, without notifying their clients. Customers are under the false impression that Redpoint handles their cybersecurity directly, but in reality, it’s all subcontracted out. Their penetration testing services are just as deceptive. Redpoint has no internal penetration testers—zero. Instead, they contract all penetration testing to third-party providers, mark up the cost by three times or more, and pass that inflated price along to clients. When it comes to digital forensic investigation and response, Redpoint barely holds things together. They have just two engineers—one for forensics and one for restoration—and rely on a single person in their lab to handle forensic imaging. The result? Painfully slow turnaround times and inability to deliver quality work. But what’s even worse than their services is their toxic leadership. The COO (now CEO) is notorious for spreading lies about employees’ performance, pushing them into unwarranted performance improvement plans, and ultimately firing them. In one sweeping move to cut costs, he fired the entire MDR team—six people—without warning and simply shifted the workload to the third party MDR firm, again without informing clients. The culture is riddled with fear, dishonesty, and instability. Leadership prioritizes profits and optics over quality and ethics. Employees are left scrambling to make things work in an environment that offers no support, no transparency, and no respect. Unless you’re absolutely desperate for a job, avoid Redpoint Cybersecurity at all costs. The unethical practices, toxic culture, and deceptive business model make this company a nightmare to work for and to do business with.
