Good pay but unreasonably high expectations for junior staff - Anonymous employee Redstone Strategy Group Employee Review

Pros

Possibly the highest salary you can get at a junior level in social impact consulting. Great bonus packages. Lots of camaraderie among junior staff, great people to work with. Managers can be hit or miss.

Cons

Unusual amount of performance reviews (every 2-3 months) as well as an extreme level of perfectionism expected at all times despite long hours. While they are upfront about the long hours, combining this with the high quality of work expected alongside limited support from managers who are staffed on many other projects is… simply not sustainable.

Pros

Interesting and meaningful project work, thoughtful colleagues, good balance of being in the social impact space but also making a decent salary

Cons

Since it's consulting, work is more demanding than other social sector jobs (but pay reflects that well)

Pros

As a whole people were friendly and the work was interesting, pay was decent.

Cons

Managers were terrible. There was no psychological safety, even with HR. There were also no safe escalation paths for problems because of how small the firm was. Junior staff was lovely, but bogged down and walking on eggshells with most managers.
