Pros
For the most part the employees are good and professional. The company has been around for a while and has a strong financial backing as a result of being owned by an overseas bigger company.
Cons
Some of the upper management (present and past) had no people skills and while their construction experience was acceptable, their management skills left a lot to be desired. They like to manage by fear instead of motivation. The same unqualified people keep getting promoted and moved up even though their management skill are lacking. You are expected to work 6 days a week and put your personal life aside for the company. Some of the managers have moved up simply b/c they've been around a while, even though they have no qualifications as a manager and can’t motivate and encourage their employees. I don’t believe that just because a person has been in the industry for 20 years, it means that they are capable of managing a construction office. I also don't believe that just because a person gets to work at 5:00am mean they are a better emplyee. Its not how many hours your put it, its what you get done. I would be willing to bet that if an anonymous survey was taken of the employees at this company, over 75% would be unsatisfied with their job and/or the company and its managers.
