Pros

The basics for wanting to work at a start-up in San Diego are all present: Beer fridge, snacks and occasional meals provided, relaxed dress code, work hours are up to employee, work/life balance, amazingly talented co-workers, cool downtown location, parking/transportation re-imbursement, etc. etc. etc. Additionally, the industry, tech and company direction are all great. I understand there may have been some issues with prior management but having arrived in 2016 I have experienced none of the issues expressed by former employees.

Cons

No real downsides that I have seen so far. On the benefits side there isn't a match on the 401k but that is really trivial when you look at all the pros.

Pros

I absolutely loved the people, and felt that I had many opportunities to learn about and contribute to various departments. When the company was smaller, I definitely felt like I had an impact on product development, communications, and the services we provided to customers. I enjoyed the collaboration and think that the exposure I had to the various lines of business helped me grow personally and professionally. I can credit the experience I received at Reflexion Health for helping me to move forward in my career.

Cons

As the company grew and people had more specified job descriptions, they were able to maintain a collaborative environment, but I didn't feel as if I had as much impact. Additionally, with so many brilliant minds in one place, there were A LOT of ideas floating around about next iterations of the product and who to target. While it was great to hear everyone's opinion, it was difficult to know the long term goal of the company or the direction they were planning to move forward with.
