Pros

Ascension has seen plenty of changes in the past ten years, and is definitely on a great track. Leadership at all levels demonstrate that they care about the people, and are open to new ideas to improve how we serve our clients and how the staff is supported and appreciated. It's hard to stay connected in a fast-paced world, with multiple business/industry segments and acquisitions, but this company puts in the effort. I feel confident that if a employee takes initiative, and puts in effort, he/she can be successful here.

Cons

Since they're very transparent about financial performance and goals, we can see where there are budget restrictions when it comes to staffing (in other words, it can run pretty lean), but that's been common in many places the last several years. Seems to take a long time to fill open positions. It is coming together to create one culture, but still seems like some offices or units operate very differently than others.

Pros

Medical and wellness benefits superior to similar organizations.

Cons

Frequently dishonest and/or considerable lack of transparency & communication. Salary less than industry standards, client satisfaction and quality of work often not a priority. Employees are frequently not experienced and do not receive adequate training due to low salaries, hiring in lower salaried states, poor management and inadequate technology and management systems. No bonus structure, no referral incentive, minimal to no annual raises and it was often that Employees were given knock off products, candy, pizza, etc... as "appreciation " gifts.
