Pros
Good small MSP to build up experience if you’re early in your IT career — you’ll get exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, Exchange, networking (FortiGate/WatchGuard/Unifi), virtualization, Veeam, and a wide variety of customer environments. Fast-paced MSP environment forces you to sharpen troubleshooting skills quickly. Good mixture of office based and onsite work.
Cons
High workload with constant pressure to keep billable hours in line, even when tickets realistically take longer. Can feel like you’re being pulled in two directions: quality vs speed. Majority of work is done on the fly with no proper planning i.e. no project managers, not time allocated for documenting work afterwards and questions raised for spending time working on tasks not director approved. Standard IT best practices are often overlooked — no ITIL processes, no formal change management, and no structured root cause analysis. Processes and documentation aren’t always consistent, so you often have to figure things out yourself or reinvent the wheel. Limited progression opportunities beyond 2nd line unless you move into management or leave for a bigger MSP. Hosted IT infrastructure is run on a shoestring, with limited investment in enterprise-grade equipment. Pay is ok for MSP work, but not as competitive as some other IT companies in the region.
