Pros

The location of the office and the friends I have made

Cons

This workplace is one of the worst places that I have ever worked in. Between the management and higher up working here nothing is good. The pay which you get does not even come close to what we deserve. You have to do a 2 week shift rotation going from working a 6am shift to a 12am shift. You don’t get shift allowance. They do not pay you properly for Sundays (supposed to be time and a half but you’d be lucky if you get that in your pay). A lot of things were promised when we first started such as normal working hours and only one late shift a month. Also promised that we would rarely work the weekend but now we are working most weekends. We also have only one day break in between a 5/6 day shift. The management do not deal with any serious complaints properly such as being harassed in work. This was ignored and nothing was said to the person who did it but instead they are treated normally as if what happened did not occur. The job is supposed to be Customer Protection but what you are actually working is as part of a call centre. You will be dealing with chats and inbound calls for most of your work day. The whole company is around “don’t be afraid to fail” but if you make one mistake you are in trouble for that. Everyone knows your business and if management speak to you in a 1-1 meeting - prepare for the whole floor to know about what went on inside that meeting because within a few moments every single person knows what happened. Every day there are people leaving and it will continue to happen because HR and directors of this company do not care about the employees. It is the most toxic and unfriendly working environment I have ever stepped foot in and I would not recommend this job to anyone.

Pros

AI Native from first principles. Colleagues are strong and collaborative; this is the most consistent positive across teams. The mission is concrete: moving cross-border money for people supporting families. It informs prioritization and trade-offs. Scope and responsibility are available early to people who take them. Compensation and benefits are great. The company has a defined strategic direction under new CEO Sebastian Gunningham and is executing against it. Exciting time to be here.

Cons

Big org changes as the company reinvent, not for everyone.

Pros

The company started off to be great when I joined a few years back. Lots of hands on opportunities, some great people to work with. Benefits are good, people are valued and contributions are seen.

Cons

The company really started to go downhills in 2024 when there are constant leadership changes, mission changes, priorities changes and team orgs. Business Managers are starting to act like the "decision-maker" over pretty much all product and marketing decisions. We start to question if the direction we are focusing on is even right. Is it customer-centric still or is it more business-oriented. work life balance is bad stress is high people are no longer valued, heard or seen you know a company is going in a negative direction when you start to see tenured employees to leave, smart people to leave as well.
