Pros

It's cool to tell people you work with a start-up.

Cons

The opposite of a transparent work environment. CEO regularly makes promises he can't keep. Sales people don't get paid their commissions on time. Lots of questions are being raised about where the profits are being allocated. Currently more half a dozen people are owed more than $5,000 in commissions for jobs installed.

Pros

Culture! This is an exemplary group of people all pushing towards a common goal of excellence and living up to full individual and group potential. I can say with over ten years of experience that it's the best group of people I've ever had the opportunity to work with. It's a position I took as a temporary gig to learn how to sell, but now I'm faced with the internal burning desire to turn my short term work with renew into something more permanent! This is a group that really understands how to succeed and enjoy every minute of it!

Cons

I believe the experience of the group currently lacks diversity. Most have similar backgrounds, however new recruits and strategic growth plans illustrate movement towards diversity of the organizations portfolio. Also, it's a new company, there are typical growing pains, but attention to these pains and innovative problem solving is in place to curtail experiential learning scenarios before they become reputation inhibiting issues.

Pros

Working at Renew has a unique culture! I enjoy the young, energy that runs through our team. The actual work is simple. We have a structure for people to follow when they join the team! The work that we do is all about building relationships with the people we meet. We do our own cold calling. Through this structure, I am able to advice homeowners on what type of solar solutions would be best for their situation. Because the entire process is very logical, if it's a good fit for the homeowner and they have a genuine trust for me as a sales person, I find that most people want to go solar!

Cons

This job takes a great amount of patience and discipline. Our managers are very trusting. I understand that how I choose to use my time is directly correlated to how well I do financially! This does not mean that I need to be great at selling a product, rather disciplined at doing my best the time that I spend working.
