Pros

- Opportunities to participate in big projects - Job stability - Private health insurance - (Working in Refinery) - generally, not necessary to travel and not to be relocated in a remote part of the world. Generally, it allows you to have good family life.

Cons

- Depending on the job, communication with your boss cannot be easy - It is generally accepted that in the company you cannot say what you think - Promotion opportunities are rare - You can be stuck in your function for very long time (for more than 10 years, for example) - In Refinery, you feel management give more importance to machines than to people - Lots of bureaucracy, long and slow procedures
