Pros

I had a great first two years here. The training was in depth and fair. The check airman were tough but if they liked you you were okay. Most of the folks in scheduling while flying the CRJ-200 on the Chautauqua side of things were great to work with. Once the CRJs went away and we moved to the 170/175, scheduling was not so good and the airline treatment changed while on the Shuttle side of the house.

Cons

Airline life in the regionals is fun for a few years and then you get enough cranky crusty old major pilots in your cockpit and it starts to dawn on you that you made a bad choice to do this gig. You are tired all the time and the pay compared to the responsibility you hold is ridiculous.

Pros

Travel benefits on American, United, Delta, jumpseat agreements with other carriers and ID travel on most other airlines including international carriers. Great starting experience and introduction to working in aviation.

Cons

Will hire just about anyone, were hiring by video interviews alone at one time, so quality of people varied. Notorious for base closures, got displaced at least 5 times due to base closures. All bases in Midwest and northeast. In the past most bases were in outstations and noncommutable. Low pay.
