Pros

The company is privately owned and the owner is investing in the growth and development of the company. Day to day quality of life in the company is average.

Cons

At this moment, the attempts to grow and develop the company are causing a multitude of growing pains that are not yet sorted out. The company has good potential, but these growing pains will get worse before they get better. Recent decision patterns also reflect poorly on the company's desire to take care of it's employees.

Pros

Manufacturing company that services a wide array of industries, so work remains steady in spite of the economy. Executive management is dedicated to reinvesting in the company and employees. The company is growing but it still has a small company feel where everyone knows each other and you feel like your job makes a difference. You are not just a cog in the machine here. The compensation and benefits are very good, especially for a small company.

Cons

As with any small, growing business, work is demanding. Priorities shift and multi-tasking is necessary. Sometimes wear multiple hats. If change and evolution is difficult, then this might not be the best place for you.

Pros

The owner invests continually in new products, equipment, and people. If you're willing to help him move the company forward, you'll be able to work hard and see the results, and find several people willing to work alongside you to see what can happen. It's easy to find 5-10 people who genuinely care about what's next and have the power to work on it, and this is enough to keep the whole company moving forward and improving.

Cons

There are a few silos where management thinks their people can't talk to anyone outside their own boss. These managers talk a big game and get very little done, because they're not willing to let their employees make decisions, but they're not able to make the right decisions for their employees.
