Pros

ResMed Halifax has a welcoming environment and offers an array of activities to support the office culture of "work hard, play hard". Some of the things offered to wind down are: - pool table - ping pong table - puzzles - friendly sports games with another company in the building (hockey and softball) - frequent events put on by our Social Committee to encourage socialization Employees start off with an abundance of vacation, and the office is closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day (a much appreciated break to visit family or to simply relax during the holidays). ResMed offers competitive benefits, excellent RRSP matching, and an employee stock purchase plan. I have been involved with various teams during my time at ResMed, and each team has always had a core goal – getting the job done. People are always willing to help and share knowledge when needed. I have not experienced a situation where someone reacted with a “not my problem” notion. I believe this stems from our company starting off small and all of the teams being interactive with each other. Although we’ve grown significantly over the last year, the original mindset has remained. ResMed offers growth within the company, as well as options for training for new or current roles. A cool thing to note is that we are emailed about internal positions at all of the ResMed locations.

Cons

Due to the rapid growth, sometimes there is a lack of documentation on how to do a specific task. Since there are multiple locations in the Americas and Europe, sometimes it is difficult to match up time-wise to solve an issue.
