Pros
- Nice big resort to work in which feels very nice having the access to visit the different attractions for work - Boundaries of work are quite strictly drawn between departments although some work falls through the gaps and is dependent on the relationship you've built with the other departments to get done. - Opportunity to learn about a big organisational structure and operations. - Opportunity to do internal transfer to a variety of other departments - When i was there, the department head was very intentional with team bonding and often brought the team out for meals
Cons
- Salary offered is not appropriate for the amount of work needed - Many events require the team to stay late or return over the weekend however it only entitles staff to coming to work 2 hours later than usual which ultimately has alot of the department very exhausted. - From many conversations, career progression is extremely slow and competitive, it helps if you build good relationships with your bosses and hope that the next person above you leaves and you are the most competent in your small team.
