Pros
I really enjoyed getting to work with iconic Mars candy brands like M&Ms, Snickers, and Skittles as a merchandiser. The work kept me active as I constantly stocked shelves and built displays. The flexible schedule was a major plus as a university student, allowing me to pick shifts that fit my classes. The pay and benefits were competitive, helping me earn income during school.
Cons
The work did become repetitive at times, doing the same merchandising tasks at different stores day after day. As a merchandiser, I had little opportunity to learn new skills or take on more responsibilities. The work shifts were not guaranteed weekly, making it tough to have a stable income.
