Pros
I've worked with admissions for several schools. I've been in leadership for several companies, including schools. Some places I've been have been horrible. Some have been excellent. Rhodes is at the top of the list and it's not even close. They live their values, they care deeply about each person, each student, and each program. They pay very fairly. Any disagreements are handled with maturity and respect. Everyone can feel heard and acknowledged. There is opportunity for growth (myself included and have seen it several times in my time here with others). The organization is in a terrific position to expand, yet the motivation is not profit profit profit, but they really want to graduate wonderful students who will go out into the world and make a positive difference! I wake up every day and live my values where I work. If your values align, there is no better place. I'm convinced. I've looked!
Cons
This is not a con... the standards are high and although there is constant support and help, you are also encouraged to figure things out and grow yourself. Some days can be a lot of work, but it's work that feels good doing. If you want to clock in and clock out and do the bare minimum to keep a job this is not for you. This is a place that will allow you to grow as a professional and a person!
