Pros
Once great but has lost its vision.
Cons
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that Ricoma International can improve for the benefit of its current and future employees. One of my main challenges was dealing with unrealistic deadlines, which often made it difficult to complete tasks effectively and led to unnecessary stress. Employees were frequently expected to stay late to complete these tasks, adding to the pressure.
Another challenge was the lack of accountability at the top—mistakes were frequently blamed on employees rather than approached as opportunities to learn and improve. The CEO’s tendency to talk down to employees created a discouraging work environment. Leadership often micromanaged to an extreme, controlling every single detail of a project to the point of dictating how to do tasks, even though employees were hired as specialists in their roles. This undermined trust and autonomy, making it difficult to feel valued or empowered.
Additionally, there was an excessive focus on clock-in times, with the VP watching cameras to monitor when employees arrived. This created a lack of trust, which undermined morale. The company also showed little respect for work-life balance, further contributing to a challenging work environment.
Despite these difficulties, I believe there's always potential to turn things around for the better. Clearer communication, realistic goal-setting, fostering autonomy, and creating a culture of accountability and respect could make a huge difference. I hope this feedback helps the company improve, not only for those who have stayed but also for those considering joining or who are new to the team.
