Pros

flexible fun starting rate 15/hr, up to 19/hr

Cons

very inflexible strike policy for tutors--tutors receive 2 strikes for receiving poor ratings, needing to cancel lessons, etc, and tutors get banned from the company after 10 strikes feedback reports are completed on the tutor's time if you don't complete them quickly enough

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions. As a young company, we really do appreciate this feedback and are working to make changes in response to it. Our new 'Star-Strike' system was created in response to criticism that our former fines were punative and unfair. We're sorry you still feel it's too harsh. All strikes can be appealed by emailing tutor@ringleplus.com, and accounts that have been closed due to too many strikes can be reinstated after a meeting with our team. We are committed to improving transparency and communication with our tutoring community. If you have any further feedback or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact Moorea, our new Tutor Relations Manager (herself a tutor with Ringle for 3 years) at tutor-relationships@ringleplus.com.

Pros

Lots of flexibility and great tutoring interface. Can truly choose your own hours and high demand so likely to get booked.

Cons

Not much, there is a very low tolerance for tutors being late etc. but makes sense

Pros

Most of the students are lovely. The hours are generally flexible, and there is little preparation required.

Cons

The worst thing about this company is how they treat their tutors. They keep looking for sneaky ways to lower the tutor pay, and the way that they want the classes structured is arbitrary. They provide strict feedback that is nearly possible to implement, and they have a countless number of minuscule rules to follow that are impossible to keep up with. In other words, the tutor is never right.
