Pros
They offer decent benefits and profit sharing. I had high hopes for success when I started
Cons
-This company has such outdated, unreliable technology and management that I am surprised they still have customers.
-Fireplace Inside Sales has not had a manager since February 2024, which has resulted in a warehouse manager micromanaging sales personnel. They will email asking why you chose to prioritize a specific email and have restricted cell phone use to breaks and lunches only, no music or podcasts allowed in a silent, desk filled office space.
-The division manager is passive aggressive and will disclose inappropriate information to new employees, such as someone being fired and the reason why.
-Expectations and processes change daily and aren't properly communicated to employees. Many communications had to be found out through the grapevine.
-Important communications are often left out of internal system communications, especially around scheduling. This results in many customers calling Inside Sales to find out when their technician will be arriving, only for their appointment to no longer be on the schedule, no explanation in the system as to why, and no communication with the customer to let them know their appointment had been moved.
-Management has a my way or the highway mindset and they will continually disregard comments based on who you are friends with and not the work you do. They will gaslight you into believing one specific employee is the cause of all of the department's problems as well as the unhealthy working environment.
-Employees are becoming burnt out and resentful of management, leading to a toxic work environment that no one wants to work in.
-Management will tell employees to come to them if they need help, but when you do go for help, they are either MIA, in a bad mood, or their door is closed.
-Management will make inappropriate statements to staff such as "do you even want to work here?"
-They don't live up to their motto that "business is sensitive: it goes only where it is invited, and stays only where it is well treated." Neither the customer, nor the employee is well treated at this company.
-Very little room for growth, no learning opportunities that were relevant to our position and day to day tasks.
