Pros

I have been working at Road for over 3.5 years now, and I can honestly say it has been an incredible journey. If you are looking for a company that truly invests in its people, this is the place to be. During my time here, I’ve been given numerous opportunities to grow. The company doesn't just offer "potential", they provide a real platform to excel. I’ve made sure to seize these opportunities, and thanks to the supportive environment, I’ve been promoted twice during my tenure. One of the things I value most is the freedom you receive. Road trusts its employees; if you take ownership and handle that freedom responsibly, success follows naturally. What truly sets Road apart is the transparency and the flat hierarchy. It’s not just a buzzword here, it’s the reality. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking to the CEO or the cleaning staff; everyone is equally valued, respected, and accepted. You can speak your mind to anyone, which creates an atmosphere of genuine trust and openness. Beyond the professional side, the social life at Road is amazing. There is a real sense of community. We have regular activities like football and padel tournaments, but also more personal moments like potluck dinners and coming together to share an Iftar meal. It makes the workplace feel like a community rather than just an office. But the absolute icing on the cake? The annual company trips. This year, we went on a long weekend skiing in Austria, which was a legendary experience and a great way to bond with the team. I’m proud to be part of the Road team and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Cons

It’s hard to find any real downsides, but it’s important to acknowledge that the startup/scale-up journey isn’t always smooth sailing. Being in this phase means facing growing pains, and we’ve had to make some very difficult decisions some time ago, including a round of layoffs. However, what could have been a setback actually showed the true strength of our culture. Instead of letting it get us down, we rallied together as a smaller, more focused team. By putting our shoulders to the wheel, we have already surpassed our previous performance levels and are now reaching heights we hadn't even touched before the layoffs. It’s a high-paced environment that requires resilience, but the reward is seeing how much we can achieve together.

Pros

- Great people – colleagues are approachable, collaborative, and easy to work with. - Fast decision-making – you don’t need to align with endless stakeholders to move things forward. It’s possible to make a tangible impact quickly. - Dedicated and loyal teams – many people genuinely care about the company and the work they do. - Accessible leadership – the Board and MT are approachable, pragmatic, and down-to-earth, with very little ego involved. - High trust environment – individuals are given ownership and space to innovate. - Strong social culture – it’s easy to connect with colleagues and the company organizes social events like ski trips and parties.

Cons

• Limited flexibility around remote work – currently only one work-from-home day per week, which might feel restrictive for people who prefer more hybrid flexibility. • Some internal processes are still maturing as the company grows, which can occasionally lead to inefficiencies or require extra coordination between departments. • Cross-department collaboration can sometimes improve, especially when it comes to aligning priorities and processes across teams.
