Pros

Deciding to join the Roar team has been one of the best decisions I made three years ago.. It's really a refreshing experience from where I was before..from the day I joined I have always felt welcomed and valued. The CEO has done an amazing job creating a culture of empowerment and kindness. I was once considering migrating but at Roar I get to work for a global company in Sri lanka itself. I really enjoy my work and the teams I work with every day. It’s hard to imagine a Sri Lankan company being so futuristic and at the same time compassionate. Roar is truly unique and I feel lucky to be part of it... The best parts: - You are expected to push yourself and figure out new things everyday. So this is not the place for the lazy.. - Failure is no problem but in-action is penalised. As long as you try your best you will keep growing - The company keeps getting bigger and has a way to turn challenges into opportunities. This means that you will always need to play different roles and do new things and gives everyone and opportunity for growth. The thing I appreciate the most is that even during a challenging period of the company due to a significant crisis, the management did not let go of any staff or have any salary cuts. In fact they managed to successfully turn the challenge into a huge opportunity and after 4 months I got an increment..

Cons

1) You might get transferred to a totally new project overnight. I was transferred overnight and at first I was upset, but it turned out to be an amazing growth opportunity for me and the company both. 2) My friends in sales are paid more than I am..so pay is not equal even though experience and title is the same.
