Pros

- Roark offers a super generous product discount for their brand as well as the brands under the Archipelago family. You get tons of free product each fiscal year as well, even if you only work part-time. - HR is extremely responsive, dedicated to their jobs, and transparent (from what I have seen so far). Employee satisfaction survey results are returned back in a timely manner to the store teams, onboarding is seamless, and we have a dedicated HR admin who is very approachable and professional. - Product is genuinely well-made, easy to sell, and is intentionally designed. Being able to sell products that you would purchase with your own money is important when it comes to working retail. The product is inspired by destinations that the team travels to, which allows the teams in-store to feel better connected to the product they sell and the story behind it. - Growth is inevitable. Roark is growing and this means that there are tons of opportunities to learn and grow with it. Store leaders are given a ton of freedom in how they run their stores (under brand guidelines, of course) and this allows leaders to learn and grow and creates ownership over store spaces. - Team culture thrives because of the above- Roark feels like a light, easy, and enjoyable place to work- even on the hard days. - Retail Leadership (DM and Sr Mgr Retail) are both impactful leaders who genuinely understand how to balance people and business- they lead with kindness but firmness- they expect hard work but show appreciation and celebrate wins with the team on a daily and weekly basis. - Overall morale is high. I genuinely enjoy working here and it's been extremely refreshing to work for a company that empowers my own personal growth while helping grow the company. Working here is fun- cheesy, but true. - The product team takes feedback seriously. Being a smaller brand in the retail space, we have a ton of say with only 8 stores. Our voices are heard and we have the opportunity to help influence better-fitting garments for customers, which feels impactful and meaningful. - Benefits are affordable. Because Roark is part of a parent company, we get great healthcare benefits at a very affordable cost. FT employees get additional benefits such as wellness credit, tuition reimbursement, etc. 401k offered with matching, employee allowance, free product.

Cons

- Roark is still in the early stages of retail, and with this comes a lot of changes in processes and procedures. Stay on your toes and you'll do great.
