Great work culture and benefits but lacks growth opportunities - Email Deliverability Specialist Robly Email Marketing Employee Review

During my 9 month tenure at Robly, I learned more than I could've ever imagined when I first started. I like to consider Robly a startup, but the upper management (James & Adam) have over 4 years of experience running the company. Like most sales jobs, if you perform well you will be rewarded, and that is especially true here at Robly. If you can prove that you're an A level employee, you will be given more responsibilities and trust right away. Of course it is a fun office and the co-workers make it great to come into work everyday, but the #1 thing I took away from my time at Robly was how much I learned how to help a startup grow through real life experience. The core of a great company is already in place at Robly and I'm excited to see how far the company goes in the future.

Like is true with any startup, there is a lot of change that can sometimes feel like it's from out of left field. If you are signing up to work at Robly, or any other startup, you should be ready to be adaptable to change everyday and wear many hats at the company. For some people, these are cons. For others, this is opportunity.

The dogs they had in the office were cool, and there was a nice espresso machine, but that was about it.

First off you're working within an apartment, it's a pretty large apartment, but it's still an apartment. This means there wasn't adequate bathroom space, and they actually told male employees to use a sink in a laundry room to urinate (pretty gross, and I'm pretty sure this is a health hazard). You are also working directly on top of your coworkers, personal space is not a thing at Robly. While I was with Robly for my 10 months I had a few issues when payday rolled around, either I wasn't paid on payday, or had to wait till the next week or two to receive my pay. They also pay less than most other startups do for the same position. There are NO BENEFITS. They offer you a free $20 planet fitness membership to shut you up. We were promised healthcare, but never received it. There is just no organization. Adam and James are nice guys, but don't know how to properly manage a staff, or a startup. They laid off the entire staff all at once with no warning. Also all of the 5 star reviews are FAKE. Adam made everyone post great reviews during work one day so more people would apply to Robly. If this review gets removed I'm reporting Robly to Glassdoor, since they have every bad review removed immediately.
