Pros
Unlike the leaders of the organization that are misleading, non-communicators with little to no business sense, the company's Program Managers are genuine, hardworking people that are really fun to know and be around. The organization will entrust in you to make some really big decisions and the experience allows you to build up a solid resume. The work environment is laid back and you aren't micro managed.
Cons
The Leadership Team there is an absolute joke and there is no accountability for them. The current Regional Director doesn't really know what he's doing and because he's somewhat incompetent he tries to overcompensate his lack of knowledge by focusing in on professional development. The organization lacks real structure thereby leaving Program Mangers up to your own devices. You will never really get feedback on how you can improve and you can go the entire year thinking you did a good job, until the end of year evaluation where they'll tell you all the things you didn't do so well and why you can't have the full and promised bonus. In addition, Program Managers are often asked to managed many, many programs across multiple districts which will surely lead to burn-out. Instead of focusing on the true needs of people, the Leadership Team only focuses is numbers in which the members, the Regional Director and President especially, have never hit when they were in the Program Manager role; and if these numbers aren't met, it's never the fault of the Leadership Team whose incompetence led to said shortcomings. However, this would all be somewhat acceptable if there were room for career advancement, but there simply isn't. The Leadership Team typically plays favorites and even those that have been pegged as "future leaders" in the organization are usually just given a fancy title that means nothing, a small bump in annual salary to the tune of a "whopping" $2,000 - $3,000, and three times as much work to do that leadership just pushes down. If you want some quick experience for a year or two in education management then this is probably a good place, if you want a real career in a real organization with real leaders, don't come near this company with a 10 foot pole.
