Pros

The feeling you get when you walk out the door knowing you are never going to ever work there again

Cons

Where to start. The company has no value or respect for any member of their team. The company used to be about upskilling staff to allow them to progress into higher positions whereas now these positions are filled from external candidates who often waltze in on a much higher rate of pay than long standing members of staff. Dental nurses are paid a embarrassing rate of pay considering the effort and time they put in. Practice managers on unjustifiably low rate of pay in relation to responsibility. Every day team are expected to work well into lunch breaks as heaven forbid we don't hit an impossible to reach 'run rate' for targets although the problem is that there is not an adequate amount of dentists to cover the targets as let's face it what dentist with a performer number in there right mind would come work for the company. Justification required for every penny spent in practice. Funnily enough we asked for amalgam because we need it to treat our patients. Practices are bought then left to practically rot as they are too busy investing in more practices. Dental nurses and managers expected to cover at other practice miles away for no extra pay and a ridiculously low milage rate. Good luck asking accounts for your mileage back you will be greeted with this is wrong or that is wrong, any excuse to perhaps delay getting your expenses back. Extra responsibilities and workload constantly piled onto the team with no reward or even a simple thanks. Quick to extend opening hours or open on weekends and expect staff to be able to drop the rest of there life so if you have a life outside of work this is not the ideal company for you. You are expected to constantly train new members of staff for surprise surprise, no additional rate of pay! Do you see a theme here? Higher management are bully's and play games as if they are still in the playground. Nobody with half a brain would trust them as far as they could throw them. The best thing I did was hand my notice in.
