Oppressive Stressful Work Environment/Narcissistic Owners - Legal Assistant Rodier Law Offices Employee Review

Pros

Experience/knowledge gained as in any workplace.

Cons

Micromanagement, belittlement, personal insults, salaried employees expected to work 60-70 hours per week with no compensation, not open to any opinion other than theirs. Very high stress and at times volatile work environment. If you start there with a positive attitude and self esteem you will not keep it for long and the owners are not open to hearing your concerns or altering their oppressive behavior, Instead they will replace you or make your life miserable until you quit. Not nice people and should be ashamed of their treatment of very hard working people who try hard to please but never succeed at pleasing the owners. A revolving door with 50+ that I saw come and go in less than a year.

Pros

Rodier Law Offices is a great place to work and an easy place to feel proud of. The firm is genuinely committed to providing professional, high-quality legal services, and it shows in everything they do. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to help—whether it’s supporting clients or each other. What truly sets this firm apart is the owner’s compassion and leadership. They treat staff like family, creating a respectful and encouraging atmosphere where people feel valued and supported. It’s a place where professionalism and kindness go hand in hand, making it a great environment for both employees and clients alike.

Cons

While I don't consider this to be a "con", the firm has high expectations. Professionalism is a must, and employees are often encouraged to go the extra mile. While that can feel demanding at times, it comes from a genuine commitment to excellence and serving clients well. Overall, it's a positive place to work if you appreciate being challenged and valued at the same time.

Pros

Team members are always willing to help each other, share knowledge, and work together to solve problems. You’re not just another employee—you’re truly part of the team, and your contributions are recognized. When things get busy or stressful, the team pulls together!

Cons

Things can move quickly, so staying organized is important to keep up. New hires who are self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable learning on the go will adapt best and thrive in this environment.
