Strong teamwork at unit level, but poor executive leadership - Registered Dietitian Rogers Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

Unit supervisors are great. Many units work together very well and have great MHTs and clinical teams that work together. Department leadership excellent. Good work life balance.

Cons

Executive leadership is terrible and only cares about metrics and profits and is instituting more and more financial cuts that are coming at great expense to patient care and quality. Combining many positions and getting rid of unit supervisors, psychologists, behavioral specialists, dietitians, and who knows what other positions. Multiple long time psychiatrists leaving or have left.

Pros

The people, Rogers attracts incredible employees. The mission/work of Rogers is also extremely attractive and it feels good to work for a company that is doing some good in the world.

Cons

Retention. Rogers for some reason cannot hang onto it's best employees and it's devaluing and destroying the culture day by day. With incredibly high turnover on many patient-facing positions, it's hard to develop any kind of consistency. Internal communication is also horrendous, senior leaders would leave or be let go and there would be no explanation or messaging to employees to explain the why or give confidence in any sort of plan moving forward. There has also been so much change in the executive leadership team that the general employee base has zero faith in the current team's direction. Many years we would have no strategic goals until halfway through the year, though employee reviews were always due on time.
