Pros

The school year has to end at some point.

Cons

This is a bad place to be. Bad for the teachers. Bad for the students. Bad for the parents (although they may not know it). And even bad for the administrators (although, ironically, they probably know it better than anyone, after the teachers themselves). Parents pay $38,400 (grades 6-8) and $39,400 (9-12), excepting scholarships, primarily for the expectation of being served, it seems. Inflated grades, for the sake of college admissions, are the priority. RPCS goes easy on certain of its Core Values like “living healthy and being well” and “building each other up,” and goes overboard with “taking your seat at the table,” to the point that the server is likely to get an earful if the dish doesn't suit oh-so-perfectly. It SHOULD go without saying that this isn’t how a child learns to solve systems of linear equations, read schematics, or—mercy—how just to be happy. Look at what the other reviewers say. Look at the extraordinary turn-over rate. Ask the current staff how unsupported, uncomfortable, and dissatisfied they are. Look at the number of job postings listed at any given time. Teachers feel nervous and unsteady. This is the most accurate testimony about what “teaching” is at RPCS. It’s here in plain sight.

Pros

Free lunch and afternoon schedule

Cons

Literally everything else. Terrible management. Do not care for employees. It’s fine until you become the target.
