Pros

There are some good people working there. Good location. Decent pay.

Cons

Extremely toxic environment. Each department has their own group of bullies, whether they be management or co-workers. In some departments don't be surprised to see people in tears on a regular basis. Shouting matches over small details are not uncommon. Expect bi-weekly Slack messages that another person wasn't a "good fit" or "wasn't motivated" and have been let go. Sweeping changes are brought in my management without consulting or even really considering what works and what doesn't. The coffee sucks. The benefits suck (and aren't even covered entirely by the company) and you 100% won't get a parking spot in your first year so expect to pay at a nearby lot (though the company does subsidize this partially to their credit). No performance reviews until they're ready to axe you so don't expect any constructive criticism. The hours are also 8:30-5 with a 30 minute lunch, which is unheard of in the industry.

Pros

This is a growing sports tech company meaning the culture is super fun, you get a good mix of variation in your day but the base of your work is standard. A lot of opp for creativity. The whole company is like a big family. Literally. If you come in and work hard and always do everything you can to improve they will give you the leg room to figure it out on your own. The industry and what this company is providing (from what I observed) is game changing and it was truly an honour to be a part of that for almost a year. These people genuinely care about every user that comes through the system and I think that speaks to the integrity of the company as a whole.

Cons

Growing pains like any newer company just past the start up phase. Training isn’t standardized because of the consistent change Parking isn’t ideal unless you have a spot but that’s typical for 95% of any business downtown London. Seems like a bit of a flat organization but with time positions for promotion are basically created specifically for you because of said change (this isn’t really a con)

Pros

- Rooftop Patio - Some great people - Great concept for a software

Cons

The department managers are all "yes" people being puppeteered by the President. If you're in sales, you're probably not sure who the actual manager of the department is. Though the "manager" has no problem saying yes to the President, yet refuses to give straight answers to their staff, often beating around the bush with an answer because this person clearly did not want to approve of an employee request. The manager often went around making comments to the advisors, comparing how many demos this person had booked compared to the staff. One of the most toxic and dysfunctional environments I have ever worked in. They will always appear to be a fun and good place to work but don't let it fool you. In the short time I was there, the management forced out four of their top people for not seemingly "falling in line" with the President. Overall a very uncomfortable work environment as seemingly one small blip and you are out the door without warning.
