Great firm - Lawyer Ross McBride Employee Review

Friendly work environment, quiet office space, 2 days a week work from home policy.

Raises are not based on performance, all staff receives the same raise. You will be underpaid compared to other firms in the same building. No HR.

Friendly: as a summer student, I had a pleasant experience interacting with lawyers and the legal support staff. Everyone was extremely nice and open to talking to me, even though I wasn’t even in university yet. The senior lawyers were especially nice. Good exposure to many areas of law: for a smaller size firm, the lawyers have expertise in many areas of law, and you get a great opportunity to dabble in many of them Good size: the firm is not so big that lawyers are unaccessible, but not to small that they only practice a couple of areas of law

Administrative management was less amicable than the legal staff. Somewhat disorganized support staff: though all very nice, the legal support staff didn’t seem to communicate among each other very well. As a summer student, I had to centralize my assigned tasks myself and ensure the workload is manageable. This is not necessarily a bad thing though, as it gave me leeway in the kind of work that I did.
