Pros
Good deal flow Good money (fixed, less so for bonuses)
Cons
More than half the junior team resigns every year, after every bonus cycle The primary KPI for managers is the number of unnecessary weekends and long hours they force their juniors to work There have been over 5 employees who have quit just in the last year attributing the reason explicitly to the mental health issues caused by their managers - this is true across teams. There may be more who don't outrightly state this. People leave this company without any other offer in hand just so they can get out of this toxicity I have also seen the physical health of so many employees suffer since joining here - through weight gain, frequently falling sick etc - caused primarily by the consistent 80-100 hour workweeks, many of which are completely unnecessary (work that can be done during the week, managers giving comments on weekends/late on Fridays even though they had the files from many days before, being forced to work on weekends on account of urgency and the managers then casually looking at the outputs not before Monday second half etc) Telling your manager that you're sick is consistently met with the response okay just do this batch of 8-hour work then for today and recover
