Great company to work for before the buy out. Was family owned. Friendly staff, fun work environment and reps would give free tickets

Pros

My position was very flexible as I was part time and the work environment was pretty upbeat. The dealership was small enough for all the departments to easily communicate.

Cons

The wage was not very impressive for starters and though hours were flexible, getting the number of hours I needed was a hassle. Also, if an employee damages a car, the dealership throws him/her under the bus as its cheap insurance policy provides no protection. Your low income is garnished.

Pros

Dealership has been replacing their old facilities. They are attempting to grow the business. They accomodate and pay attention to their customers. They offer good service and sales service in the area.

Cons

Little to no time off. Vacations are difficult to plan especially if a more senior person has a "special" need to take time off. No compensation for working harder. Little to no advancement opportunities. Very political environment. Customer is always right. You can please 100 customers in a row, but if the 101st customer comes in and complains or feels they weren't treated perfectly, your job is at risk. Only 2 vacation days a year, namely Christmas and Thanksgiving. However, these days are given off to sales staff, but they don't get another day off in the week. Consequently you really don't get any holiday off. Like any automotive dealership, employees are "at will" emplooyees which means you can be let go at any time.
