Pros

Good stepping stone for building a resume early in your career

Cons

BEWARE. This place takes everything out of you and gives almost nothing back. You are underpaid, overworked and job security always feels unstable. You can stay late, skip plans, and push yourself nonstop, and no one even says thanks. Promotions are talked about just enough to keep people hanging on, but they never really show up. The stress is constant and heavy. Even small tasks feel urgent, and the rules change without warning. One day you are told to do it one way, the next day you are blamed for doing exactly that. It messes with your head and makes you second guess everything. Leadership is a big part of the problem. The ceo talks down to people and makes the whole place feel uncomfortable. Managers seem scared to speak up, and it trickles down into how everyone treats each other. It does not feel supportive at all. Management doesn't care about anyone. Employees are treated like they can be replaced at any moment. Promises get made and quietly forgotten. After a while, you stop expecting fairness and just try to get through the day.

Pros

I’m happy to be part of the Real Voices of SAFCO campaign because my experience here has honestly been a positive one from day one. Joining the Account Services team has already helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I have learned more in a short time than I expected. What stands out most to me is the support from leadership and coworkers. The managers are organized, approachable, and make sure employees have the resources they need to be successful. I especially appreciate how encouraging and understanding my manager has been throughout training and onboarding. My teammates have also been incredibly welcoming and always willing to help when needed. It really feels like a team environment where people want each other to succeed, and I am excited to continue building my future here at SAFCO.

Cons

Your day is always really busy, and you have to be ready for that. But that is the way you are successful here.

Pros

Most of us were glad to have medical and health insurance provided. Other basic benefits were also appreciated.

Cons

- Decisions were made on impulse rather than careful thought or planning, with little regard for consequences. - Choices often shifted depending on mood rather than logic or any consistent direction. - Choices often shifted depending on mood rather than logic or any consistent direction. - There was no evidence of long term thinking, leaving employees to absorb the fallout of unstable decisions. - Poor decision making repeatedly harmed staff and created unnecessary difficulty across the organization.
