1. No IT professional The organisation does not have any intention to hire experienced IT talent from the job market. Perhaps no budget, I guess. It only hire fresh graduates with paid lower than the average market price. Just around 12-14k per month. Then of course, SAGE cannot hire potential talent from the 1st and 2nd tiers of university. Recently, SAGE can only hire graduates from the "so-called" university like HKSYU and Hang Seng "University" of Hong Kong. Most of the hired graduates do not have a IT related major, but only have BBA, Maths and even Science. Some of them even do know SQL! 2. No Standard Training As mentioned above, SAGE hires lots of new-to-IT fresh graduates. But SAGE does not have any standard training. Seniors only provide online sites like tutorialspoint and TechOnTheNet, and let staff to have their self learning without monitoring the learning progresses. Regarding ETL and BI, SAGE will only provide the official guides from software vendors. Again, self learn! The fresh graduates will then be put into different projects, but are they ready to provide quality services? SAGE does not care! 3. Low paid and Always OT It is normal to work OT and at weekends in SAGE. No compensation paid, just compensation leaves. The paid is lower than the average market price. As mentioned, fresh grad can only get around 12-14k. Shameful offers for a university graduates. 4. Bad review process and High turnover. The "special" item in SAGE is that there is not any performance review that staff wont get any comments from seniors, both positive and negative. The performance review basis is only in the mind of the senior management, staff will never know what to improve and how to meet the standard. As the result, staff just cannot get satisfied paid from seniors and the turnover rate is extremely high. Most staff cannot stay SAGE for more than 3 years. 5. No benefits and No team culture No benefits at all. Staff can only have few Annual Leaves. No medical insurance, no birthday leave, no flexible working hours, no work at home, no bonus. SAGE only treats each staff as working machine, no annual dinner and no xmas party. No any team building activities.

Roller coaster company. Big hiring then big firing. Will use you til you reach a certain salary then replace you
