Growing pains/ Identity crisis - Purchasing, Cost, and Inventory Manager SCA Health Employee Review

Pros

Team, atmosphere, culture, work flexibility, to some extent compensation and fringe benefits. I loved my time with SCA from an "is this a good place to work in the job you are currently in" perspective, and I still view many of the people I worked with as some of my closest friends. Pay is fair to good for the roles, as I've seen, and a tuition reimbursement plan exists, at least in an informal way.

Cons

Limited-to-nonexistent mobility in certain lanes, limited-to-nonexistent ability to grow career for mid-career workers. Frequent, apparently capricious strategic direction changes from upper management. Some of that is the nature of healthcare today, some is related to a small company growing into a larger one (then being acquired by a giant one). Core benefits need a great deal of work. Health insurance costs vs. coverage are atrocious for family coverage, whether "on par with other companies of our size" or not.
