Pros

-Other case managers were great to work with - Amazing school partners - I learned how to advocate for better myself and my colleagues here

Cons

- No respect from other departments: encouraged to support other departments work, but yet truancy receives none. No one seemed to know what we actually did.... - While the work is fast-paced, there is no consideration for quality over quantity. Perpetually understaffed and case managers are spread thin while accommodating everchanging requirements from DHS - Unjust compensation for work/time/energy commitment - Unwilling to express concerns without fear of consequences

Pros

The mission of the organization. Employees have diverse backgrounds.

Cons

I worked at the Hansjorg Wyss Wellness Center, overseeing all programs in the Health and Social Services Department. Despite the low pay, the main drawbacks were the managers. One talks excessively with little listening, while the other shows bias in making judgments. Another issue is with the ESL classes; they place people on waiting lists and only offer 1.5 hours of teaching per teacher most days.
