Pros
The salary and perks are ok, the location is also pretty good, and most of the curators/writers are nice people.
Cons
Poor management and no concern for employees. I was hired with a 2 week training period for a writer position only to find out that it was actually a try out. The people who hired me knew that I was quitting my job to work there but didn't warn me that they might not take me after the 2 weeks training period (they also asked me to work over the week-end with no notice). We were 3 trainees and none of us was hired at the end of the "training". No explanation was given whatsoever just a very rude email saying that they were not issuing a job offer at the moment. More than 2 months later, they sent me an email offering to "explore a new role" with SF Globe, which was actually the exact same position I had been trained for 3 months before. Useless to say I was very happy to decline their offer since I had found a better job in the meantime. I don't recommend working for this company as it is managed by a bunch of kids who have no social existence and no concern for people. It is a data driven company which treats humans like more data. It took me a month and a half to find another job after this, and many people cannot afford to be jobless for so long, especially in San Francisco. This experience could have ruined my life if I hadn't had a safety net.
