Pros

Higher salary pay than other companies, not a bad office location, snacks in the office, lunch catered every week one day per week

Cons

My manager was the worst I've ever had: didn't care about my goals and only cared about herself. She was a "manager" but the only one on our team that negotiated working completely remotely, while the rest of us had to come into office every day. Sidenote, she did not have a medical reason or otherwise to work from home, she was just lazy and didn't want to come into work. Other than that, be ready to work with China, obviously. The work culture in China translates over to their American offices. You could easily be working 12-16 hour days, since that's their expectation of you. Other than that, there are some serious moral and ethical issues to face with the company being in the news every week for another lawsuit filing or being accused of evading import taxes.

Pros

The company was growing pretty fast and had a startup like pace, until the tariffs happened. SHEIN’s pace slowed down a lot and the company pivoted to cost optimization

Cons

1) company’s leadership, especially the US leadership lacks vision and creates a toxic work culture by constantly belittling people in open and yelling at them. 2) the small group of top leaders almost behave like high school bullies colluding with each other 3) you’ll struggle to survive, let alone succeed, if you don’t speak Chinese. 4) Sheins compensation is significantly below industry peers 5) Daily late night calls with the China team mean a non existent work life balance. You are expected to be available at all times, including late night and weekends
