Pros

Interesting product concept. At least early on, while they were still employed, my coworkers were great.

Cons

If you're not a yes man (and I do mean _man_), you won't survive. The micromanaging CEO meddles in everything, even overriding years-long precedents in coding standards in an effort to boost his ego. If you disagree with absolutely anything he says, or even offer a challenge, your life will be a lot harder and you'll be replaced with a Ukrainian contractor faster than you can say "Kiev." My coworker was fired without warning or explanation, after having worked on a project that had to be redone three times when upper management changed their mind on various whims. Promises were broken. The VP promised me a pretty good raise after my first performance review, but after a glowing review I got 1%.

Pros

Shift comes from a long line of out outstanding engineers and executives that care dearly about the clients they support. I've been with the company for a long time and can say with certainty that the Leadership Team is outstanding, listens to their employees, and is making wise business decisions when it comes to vision, and pivoting when necessary.

Cons

Staffing a company is always a challenge and with the hit of Covid, long standing colleagues have moved on, having achieved their goals, seeking new challenges, and simply a change. Right now Shift is hiring for multiple positions in marketing, sales, and engineering. Now is the right time to join the team.

Pros

Everyone at shift really cares about the work they do and genuinely enjoy getting it done each day. We treat each other with respect and really feels like we are a big family and we are all in it together. The benefits are great! (100% paid health, dental, vision, and more), bonuses, 401k. The leadership team genuinely cares about the employees and I have never seen any company react to employees concerns so quickly the way they have done during my two and half years here.

Cons

I really don't have any cons, I have worked at a lot of different places and they all had their pros and cons but no company has done a well as Shift is doing across the board. Is it perfect? no but nothing is, but when mistakes are made they own up to it and fix it.
