Pros

Good work life balance Nice modern office Free parking

Cons

The quality of managers on AMS project has ALWAYS been shocking - nepotism is rife. One minute your the secretary at the door the next your a project manager! Architectural & design patterns are just buzz words, they think they are using Scrum or Scalable Scrum but it may as well be a ruby Scrum, for how well they use it. I have never seen a company that spends so much on external training, nobody can think for themselves - dissect a good YouTube video and POC a project and save £10K A lot of extremly good staff have left since Covis and gone contracting, we estimated that they took around 100 years of experience out the door - that can never be replaced in an average employee's lifetime. The Tech-Stack is shockingly behind modern standards....forget about AI, Big Data, Machine Learning, anything modern (newer than 10 years) etc. The testing standards are a joke, Unit Tests\Integration\Automation\CI CD are just bean counters and projects have come so close to failing in the past and nearly making it past UAT and into Production.

Pros

Great colleagues across teams and geographies.

Cons

The company was once a mission-driven environment with strong collaboration and stability, a people first company, but the shift to a profit model emphasizing financial targets has fundamentally altered priorities. Senior leadership struggles to unpack executive vision into clear, actionable direction, often treating their functions as personal experiments rather than aligned team efforts. This has fostered selective attention toward a few individuals while hard-working engineers and other contributors are frequently overlooked in performance evaluations and opportunities-fueling repeated restructurings, team instability, dissolutions, distrust, mismatched and irrelevant performance review processes, neglected areas, and persistent daily frustration with no near-term resolution visible.
