Cons
Unfortunately, government funding comes with a mountain of paperwork that staff was not given adequate time to complete at work. Overtime was rarely if ever approved, and it was regularly expected that you would work off the clock to 'meet your job expectations.' The company also poorly handled a case of workplace bullying, and allowed it to go on for years. Teachers also quickly get burned out, trying to help a classroom with 24 low-income children, even with a reasonable staff ratio of 1-to-8. Site Supervisors also often harried staff for any incident that happened in the classroom - intent on finding out who was 'at fault.'
