Business outlook
Pros
- Many opportunities if you speak English and Korean - The longer you stay, the harder to be fired (unless you screw up) - Being part of the SK group gives many perks if living in Korea - Management cares about the company, but has political reasons not to change - Good starting place to start a career but not great if you're very ambitious - Your life can be heaven or hell depending on who your team leader is
Cons
- Korean management style (hierarchical, militant) - Highly bureaucratic, highly inefficient - Unreasonable workload, resource management ridiculous - Human relationships are equally important to performance - Glass ceiling for women and non-Koreans
