Pros
Financially stable. Company generally has good products, services, and people. Generally good ethics, with some exceptions (tendency to over-commit for some projects, i.e., customer expectations are not always met).
Cons
USA subsidiaries for the SMS Group have limited autonomy. The industry is staid and conservative, very slow to innovate. Risk averse. This can also be a positive, however, because over time this industry will reward companies for good behavior (the people involved tend to stay put for years, and they have memories.....)
